UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME

My guess is most working people of humanity are always unhappy w/ their jobs, for many reasons, but have no better choice (for job or source of income)!
"Wage Slavery" is actually one of the biggest problems of humanity!
& like that is not enough, relentless rise of automation/AI/robots is threatening to takeaway most of all available jobs of humanity!

Universal Basic Income (UBI) idea (that is government paying a minimum wage to everybody or jobless people for lifetime) could really be a viable/global/permanent solution?

My guess is paying everybody (instead of only jobless people) would be a really bad idea, because it would easily/quickly lead to price of everything (like rent & food) keep increasing, until that minimum wage is no longer enough for anybody to cover their basic living costs!

(Of course, there maybe always some jobs really needed to be done by some people, but pays low wage!
What if, nobody wants to do those jobs anymore, if they can get a comparable minimum wage w/o working?
I think (local) governments could make an exception for those jobs, so people doing them also get UBI!
(And/or, (non-violent) criminals of (local) prisons could be made (in)voluntarily doing those jobs, in return for reduced sentences!))

But, I think the biggest problem against permanently/globally realizing UBI, is the problem of providing cheap housing (at large/global scale)!
What can be done to permanently/globally solve it?

Imagine (UN?) creating a set of standard building designs, available to all countries/people for absolutely free!
Each big/large/giant building is designed to provide a max number of micro-apartments!
& to be of min construction & maintenance costs & max durability & max strength against earthquakes/storms/fires/floods!
(So, all made of reinforced-concrete?)
(And/or, big/large/giant (stainless) steel skeleton buildings that just provide slots for standard-design shipping container housing units! (Imagine if, such RV-like standard-design housing units produced at large/global scale, to make each cost minimum!))
