Imagine that, there is a financial instrument called a (Paper) Gold Certificate, that allows wholesale buying & selling Gold easily/quickly.
Imagine that, normally, each Gold Certificate represents a certain amount of physical gold stored somewhere.
(So, the relationship between Gold Certificates & physically stored gold is one-to-one.)
Imagine that, someday, some gold certificate companies pressured/tricked the (US?) government, to remove the one-to-one limit/condition!!!
Imagine that, afterwards, they start printing gold certificates non-stop & keep selling them in international markets!!!
Imagine that, they keep doing that endlessly for years & years!!!
Would not you think that, this (global) scam, would comeout sooner or later
& would cause whole global gold markets to collapse???
(Realize that, the global market collapse would surely cause gold price to skyrocket!!!
So, if the scammers secretly bought back & stored physical gold, they could make much more profit (later), than just selling their spurious gold certificates!!!)
(There are also paper certificates for other precious metals, which can also be used for scamming the whole world, the same way, for sure!!!)

ANIMAL CRUELTY PROBLEM OF HUMANKIND
IMHO:
Consider that, all around the world, any given time, a really huge number of pets, must be getting treated w/ gross negligence or cruelty!!!
Should we accept that as okay???
Or, do we really/seriously think, it would stop someday, perhaps, by teaching children @ schools better, and/or, by increasing fines???
Why do we really need to have pets @ all???
Only because they provide emotional comfort and/or entertainment to some people???
I for one, really do not think those are good enough reasons, to keep allowing all the negligence & cruelty continue, endlessly!!!
Also consider, all the diseases & parasites always keep jumping between humans & pets!!!
Also consider, all the invasive species problems, caused by, people releasing their pets, or, international pet trade!!!
Also consider, all the food pets keep consuming!!!
Also consider, all the healthcare costs of pets to their owners!!!
I for one, really think that, humanity should/must work towards, absolutely/completely banning all kinds of pet animal ownership, globally, someday!!!
But, ownership of animals, strictly for utility (like police/shepherd/guard/blind dogs, rodent control cats, etc) should/must be still allowed!!!
(But, only, as long as, there are no other practical solutions available!!! For example, inexpensive artificial nose devices could make police dogs unnecessary, someday!!!)
What about zoo animals???
I for one, really think that, only (very) large size zoos should/must be allowed & strictly by government permit & monthly visits/checks by government officials!!!
What about farm animals???
I for one, really think that, only (very) large size farms should/must be allowed & strictly by government permit & monthly visits/checks by government officials!!!
